Swimming Lessons 


Ararat Fitness Centre Swim School classes are taught by Austswim qualified instructors with assessments conducted on an ongoing basis to ensure all children are in the appropriate classes. The Swim School is an Austswim, Swim Australia and Royal Life Saving Association registered organisation.
The lessons are 30 minutes in length, each lesson has a desired outcome and is taught in a relaxing friendly manor that nurtures your childs learning and progression throughout the Swim and Survive program.  

Swimming, like any other physical activity, is based on development of skills and needs to be practised.
  Apart from the health and safety benefits of swimming, lessons also enhance social, emotional and physical well-being. Throughout the program your child will learn all stroke techniques and Water safety skills that they will use through all walks of life.

Lessons are run on a term basis that coinside with school terms and payments can be made via fortnightly debit or up front.

Holiday workshops 

School Holiday Intensive Swimming Workshops offer the opportunity to swim every day for 5 days. It’s a great help in reinforcing skills and building on what your child has learnt day to day.

With a focus on stroke development and refinement for beginners, intermediate Advanced. Intensive Programs are a great way refresh your childs knowledge of being safe in an Aquatic Environment.

Classes

Classes begin by offering water familiarisation and confidence building classes for infants and extend to adult learn to swim.

The levels offered are:
Infant Learn to Swim 
Preschool Learn to Swim 
School Age Learn to Swim 
Adult Learn to Swim 
All classes include a water safety component with water familiarisation in emergency situations such as using lifejackets and what to do if they are in trouble in an aquatic environment.
